Horrible thieves

I purchased a book, gave them the correct address. After six weeks, the book still had not arrived. When I finally inquired about my order they told me that the book had come back to them. Again, my address was correct on the order, they messed up the shipping. They never so much had sent me a simple email to let me know that the book returned to them. They happily kept my money though (over $70). They agreed to send me a refund, but they are taking the $5 return fee they incurred. That return was their error. Overall a shady and pathetic company. Never buy from them.

I've been screwed by them as well. Bought a poster that never arrived..finally they emailed me how sorry they were-did I want my money back or send another poster. Told them send poster (nothing!!) Now they won't answer my emails...this was through Barnes & Noble, one of their "Market Place Sellers"-how can they keep dealing with these crooks?

Ordered a book on 7/11/14. Rec'd email that order shipped on 7/18 from NJ. Sent email questioning why their estimate of my receipt date could be as late as 8/4 to Reno NV. Never given a USPS tracking number. Rec'd book 8/1.

Hardcover Book received with damaged dust cover. No response from Indoo.

This book was ordered through Alibris. When it arrived, no receipt or return instructions were included in the packaging. Couldn't give the book as a gift as intended. It took a tedious search online to find a complaint link that would work. Indoo promised a response within 24 hours but n there has been no response from Indoo after a week so far. Can't contact Indoo to return the book or get credit. We WOULD NEVER do business with them again. I should have read the negative reviews about Indoo before ordering. I could have saved myself a lot of trouble and expense since I had to reorder the same book through another provided.

Ordered a book that was cheaper than standard, they cancelled the order

saying they were "out of stock". Don't they keep inventory. Several months later it was list again at a much higher price. When I asked them to honor the previous price, they said, again, that they were "out of stock". Why did they relist if this were not so. I had to tell them to take that down many times before that actually removed the listing. Just recently I found the same book, with a good price, listed at Abe's Books. Guess what? Sold by Indoo Bestsellers. I ordered it and they canceled yet again, saying it was "out of stock". These are the slimiest book sellers on line. Don't expect to be treated fairly.

Charged my Card - Shipping Date in Question

Have never had such a poor experience with Amazon - who should do better due diligence on their booksellers. I ordered a book thru Amazon bookseller Indoobestsellers, who charged my card two days later (2/19) - the same date Amazon emailed to say the order had shipped. As of 3/1 the book has not arrived and an email from Indoobestsellers tells me the book shipped on 2/20. So my card was charged on 2/19 why?? I don't believe the book has shipped or that this is a domestic company. I think the business takes, orders, charges people and then searches for the book/item to ship - they get the money up front to finance their operation and you get your item when they find it. But that's conjecture. My bigger concern is the personal financial information I have provided Amazon in order to complete the transactions. I've been advised not to take Amazon's A-Z blah, blah guarantee but to dispute the charge to my card. I've also flagged the card, lowered my credit limit and will close it once the dispute is resolved. With all the identity theft going on at legitimate operations these days, Amazon needs to get with the security program and tighten up online operations!!

yeah my book shipped om 2/19 according to e mail but as of 3/9 no sign of book

We disagree. I ordered the book on the 17th.

Amazon told me it shipped on the 19th - to your point 2 business days. But when I asked where the book was (there is no shipping information with this bookseller), they told me it shipped on the 20th. A credit card charge was issued on the 19th. I'm not about to pay for something I haven't received regardless of your process (curious how your firm books revenue).

After reading the reviews on this company, the same pattern exists for many consumers and hasn't been resolved by Amazon - so I guess buyers should beware of Amazon one click ordering.

My bank's security system flagged activity on a card I used for a Target purchase after their breach and changed security code along with issuing a new card. So yes, depending on how interested you are in protecting your financial identity - being proactive is prudent. 7 business days from the time Amazon told me the book was shipped (or 12 days from the time the order was placed) is a long time based on prior Amazon bookseller shipments - which usually ship the next day.

I have always been able to track orders - even from the USPS.

I mean seriously? You must rarely order online. You have always been able to track your USPS shipments?

You're lucky because not all USPS shipments generate a tracking number that you can track. Maybe the company really does suck, but my point is that nothing in your original post indicates any reason for any alarm.

I work for an internet company, we charge the credit card when the order is being processed in our warehouse for shipping, sometimes that means the card is processed and the order actually leaves our facility the next day. What is so suspicious about that? If your order shipped regular mail on the 20th then it has been 6 business days since then. That seems excessive to you?

I deal with USPS shipping every day, trust me it's not. Now I have no experience with this particular seller, but at this point I don't see what you're so upset about.

SENT WRONG BOOK

No contact information, no shipping information. Was sent wrong book in end. Contacted amazon and they were completely un helpful. I had to contact american express to reverse the charge. No one should ever ever buy from this bogus company as long as they are still in business. They cheat people out of their money and they don't want anything to do with their customers. Someone needs to put them out of business. The company is run by complete morning who know nothing about customer service. They need to quit while they still can. please. I totally agree with you! After over 10 emails with this company, I am just getting a portion of my money back.

In addition to that, I had to pay to ship back the book that was sent to me in error on their part.

They could at least send me a prepaid label to send the book back. I will never use this company again and I will be reporting them to the BBBS.

Defective product and refuse to refund money

I purchased an access code card for Mcgraw hill website and the sticker which is supposed to be peeled off to reveal the access code was so stuck to the paper that it ripped off a portion of the code. Therefore I could not use this, was unable to retrieve the code which was ripped off and returned the item. They refused to return my money and said I opened the package and used it. I never used it because I never got the code to register in the website. They sold me a defective product which malfunctioned and refuse to refund. Never again with them.

WTF, Over?

Ordered my book a week ago, got an order confirmation but STILL no shipping information at all. All it says it is will arrive some time between Aug 21st and Sept 6th..... That's pretty much BS because my class started on the 12th and here it is the night of the 20th and I have YET to be able to start my class. There is no contact information for this company and all I see are complaints about these *** Nice that they can take $120 from me but not send out any information on my books. Peace for a women's Soul Deluxe

On June 13, 2013 I ordered the following book "Peace for a Women's Soul Deluxe: finding rest for you" through Amazon.com. I received confirmation from Amazon that the book had been ordered and the due date of arrival was from June 20, 2013 - July 8, 2013. Today is July 5, 2013 and I have yet to receive my book. I ordered a book on June 21, 2013 and received it on June 26, 2013. I tried contacting Amazon and they claim there wasn't an order so I would like to know Indoobestsellers and Amazon where is my book is?

Book shipped in a folded mailer

The book I ordered came with the shipping material of a cardboard mailer that I would send a few sheets in. SO after a few weeks AbeBooks the company I ordered the book from "farmed" the order out to Indoo.com. The Book arrives in a folded mailer they could have at a minimum stamped on the mailer DO NOT FOLD or BEND!! When I ordered the books AbeBooks (honest Abe) got the best price they could without any concern for quality. I had no idea where the books were coming from and now I know why. The BBB has at this time 47 complaints on Indoo.com 19 of them for shipping and 26 of them for the quality of the books (due to shipping??). AbeBooks continues to do business with them for PROFIT not for the quality of the product and not for the quality of the company. This was my LAST order through AbeBooks and Indoo.com they both are on my DO NOT BUY from list.

Listen to the complaints - ordered a book and never received it.

I ordered a book via the Barnes and Noble website at the end of April. By the end of May I never received it. I contacted them and they responded immediately with an apology and said they would refund my money. The refund never arrived and I received no further contact from them. So then I googled "Indoo.com" and saw MANY many complaints about them, including this site. I order from resellers via the Amazon website all the time, and I have never had this happen. I am very disappointed not only to be scammed by these people, but now to worry every time order a book from a reseller that they are potential crooks like Indoo.com.

BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING IN AMAZON AFTER YOU CHOOSE THE SELLER GO TO GOOGLE AND CHECK IF THAT STORE HAS A PHONE NUMBER THAT YOU CAN CALL THEM DIRECTLY IT WILL SAVE YOU SOME INCONVENIENT. I order one book and weeks after they sent me email that the book was already shipped the book still didn't arrive so I know i lost my $24.00 and Amazon is still doing nothing about it. Nets time i purchase anything through amazon I will make sure that store or company has a telephone number so i can complain directly to the store. Next time I will go to google and check for the store phone #. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PEOPLE. LEO EVERTH

Do not buy from indoo bestsellers

They took my money for a book through amazon and never sent the product to me. The order was placed months ago through amazon. Countless complaints emails and no real action. They said they valued my business...and that they were chasing, tracing their postal service to find where it had got to. No follow up. Chased and chased via emails but still no book received. Now i have lost my money. Losing all confidence in Aamazon too. They are ripping people off. Amazon should get them off their website. They are a fraud. I would advise people to buy elsewhere.

Took 20 days from the time I ordered to receive book.

Indoobestsellers is a 3rd party book seller for Amazon. I have ordered countless books over the years from Amazon 3rd party sellers and never had to wait more than a week from the timer I ordered 'til the time I received the book.

I ordered from indoo because they offered $22-$24 auto repair manual for about $16. Shipping was cheap - a little over $3. After 19 days I checked with my small town local post office. USPS employee told me they likely use a method of shipping called Media Mail. It's cheap and very slow. At Amazons web site one will find many great reviews for Indoobestsellers and some that are awful - time related issues.

It's my guess these people are claiming to have a book in stock when they really don't - hence the ridiculous delivery time.

Fraud

Please do not buy from indoobestsellers, this bookseller is a fraud. They will get your money and will never send you product. The trap is that they ever offer the lower price to the books. Do not trust in them. I bought a book in the year 2012 November and we are in April 2013 and the book was not send to me. Worst of all if you send email to them they will answer with a message made by a machine. Some folks here in Brazil are receiving the same treatment. I hope some day this fraud will be banished from Amazon site.
